Two arrested for black marketing of LPG cylinders in Kathmandu

Two persons have been arrested for black marketing Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders on Friday. According to police, 43-year-old Ramesh Lal Shrestha, owner of the Nayabazaar-based Lal Gas Store, was arrested for selling cooking gas cylinders at Rs 1,500 each. Police said a joint team of District Administration Office, Kathmandu, and Metropolitan Police Circle, Lainchour seized 25 LPG cylinders. Likewise, acting on a tip-off of black marketing, a police team raided the Tikathali-based Suman Gas Store and arrested owner Suman Basnet. Police also seized 16 cooking gas cylinders from the store. Police said they are investing the cases.
