26 boys returned from Gaddachauki border point in Kanchanpur

(Update)--The Seema Surakshya Bal (SSB) of India has returned 26 teenagers of Dailekh, heading towards India via Gaddachauki border point of Kanchanpur pursuing foreign employment. The SSB, India, handed over the boys aged between 10 to 20 years to the Area Police Office, Gaddachauki, on Monday. The teenagers are the residents of Lyatibindra and Jambukadh VDCs of Dailekh, according to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur. It has been learned that Kamal Rawal of Lyatibindra VDC-6 was taking the boys to India for employment. 


(Updated)--The District Police Office, Kanchanpur has handed over the rescued 25 children to their families and relatives at a press conference on Wednesday. Police have arrested Kamal Rawat of Luyati VDC-6 and Bakhat Bahadur Thapa of Luyati-5 for taking children to India illegally. According to Kanchanpur Police Chief Tulasi Prasad Adhikari, they will be prosecuted under the Human Trafficking and Smuggling Act 2064 BS. According to Kanchanpur Police Chief Tulasi Prasad Adhikari, the case will be prosecuted. This is the first time that such a large number of children are being taken to India through the Gaddachauki border crossing in Kanchanpur. Most of the rescued children are school children.
