Police arrested a 22-year-old youth on the charges of repeatedly raping his cousin for the past few months. Kohalpur police arrested Samir Sarki, from Bheriganga-5 vdc in Surkhet, currently residing at his uncle's house in Naubasta, Banke district. According to the police, Samir had raped the minor girl aged 10 many times from August 2, 2015, to March 27, 2016. Police arrested Sarki from Surkhet on Sunday. The incident of the repeated rape on the minor girl came into light only after she suddenly fell ill, said DSP Rajib Bahadur Basnet of Area Police Office Kohalpur. After not being able to be treated at hospitals in Kohalpur and Nepalgunj the girl was taken to Kathmandu where during the treatment doctors found out that she had been raped repeatedly. The minor girl also revealed to the doctors that the Sarki had raped her repeatedly. After knowing about the incident the girl's parents lodged a complaint at Area Police Office Kohalpur on Sunday against the accused, Sarki. Police arrested him immediately. Sarki, who is a bus-conductor lived at his uncle's house. Meanwhile, doctors have found serious issues in the minor girl's health which they believe was caused due to repeated rapes at the hands of the culprit.
