Police have arrested Bhairav Shrestha, 42, and his 15-year-old son of Kalika5 in Bardiya on December 15 on charge of raping a domestic help.

Shrestha who has running a tea shop at Karkoda5 in Banke was arrested from his shop on charge of raping a 14-year-old girl.

The girl has filed a rape case against the duo at the district police office on December 16. She has accused them of raping her repeatedly since September 27. A resident of Kalika4 in Bardiya, the victim was brought to Shrestha's tea shop to work as domestic help. Shrestha had agreed to pay her Rs 1000 monthly.

According to the victim, Shretha's wife told her not to tell the incident to anyone when she informed her about the incident. She had told the locals after running away from the shop on November 25. Shrestha had agreed to pay Rs 150,000 to the victim at a meeting held at the village on December 1.

The victim's family had filed the case with the help from Women Service Center Bardiya.

Meanwhile, police have arrested Lal Bahadur Thing, 54, of Basamadi8 on charge of trying to rape a 32-year-old woman at a jungle in Makawanpur on December 16.
