Nepal Army Defuses Socket Bomb Planted at Civilian's House

A socket bomb has been defused by Nepal Army on December 19. The bomb found at the house of one Gopal Rauniyar in Kanchanpur-8 was defused by a bomb disposal team from Krishnadal Battalion Rajbiraj.

 

According to Inspector Rajendra Basnet of area police office Kanchanpur, earlier a hoax bomb was kept at the house of Sudambar Yadab, principal of Annapurna Multiple Campus in Kanchanpur-2.

 

Police said that a leaflet signed by Jay Krishna Goit of Akhil Tarai Mukti Morcha dated March 16, 2008 was found at the site. Police suspected that some criminal groups might have kept the leaflet for their personal motive. <
