UCPN-M's sister wing All Nepal Peasants Federation has announced the seizure of a two-storeyed concrete house and 10 bighas of land belonging to Bijay Bahadur Kurmi of Gajedaha8 on December 21.

The Federation also seized one-storeyed concrete house and 22 bighas of land belonging to Hawaldar Kurmi and Gaddu Kurmi of Kopawa5 same day.

A team of 40 persons led by Federation's central chairperson Sherman Tharu had hoisted party flags in the houses and land and announced the seizures on December 21.

The land and houses were seized as people always dispute about the ownership of the land, Tharu said. The Federation had also seized land belonging to Bijay Bahadur Kurmi earlier.

The owners seized land and houses have been staying in India .

UCPN-M district in-charge Chandra Bahadur Chand said that the seized land will not be returned until alterative was made to the land-tillers and landless people.

Meanwhile, Kapilvastu CDO Dr. Kamaleshwor Sinha said that the local administration has also directed to remove the flags erected in the seized land and houses.
