Cadres of Nepali Congress affiliated NSU have clashed with CPN Maoist Center's youth wing YCL in Aathbiskot VDC of Rukum Today. Seven mobile shops located at Simbazar were reportedly vandalized during the clash between the two groups. Tension has grown between the student and youth wings of two political parties in the past few days after NSU leader Sujal Shahi, a candidate for FSU President for Radijyula Education Campus in the upcoming FSU election, was attacked by YCL while filing his candidacy on February 15. NSU has been demanding action against the attackers of their leader. Although Area Police Office Aathbiskot had arrested an accused attacker, YCL district vice-chairman Man Bahadur Chanara, DSP and CDO of the district released him under pressure from Maoist Center's Central leader.
