Three women were rescued while being taken to India from Jamunaha in Nepalgunj. Three women from Banke, Taplejung, and Waglung have been rescued by the joint efforts of KI Nepal and Nepal Police, an organization working against human trafficking. Police have arrested Bimala Sunar of Motipur-5, Madaha, Bardiya, and Sher Bahadur Kasera of Dailekh and Jagannath-3 for trying to take the woman to India. The accused goldsmiths and cashiers have been arrested due to the activism of Nepal Police. According to police, Shanta, 35, a resident of Kathmandu, has been planning to send the three women to India for the past few months. It was Shanta who mobilized Bimala and Sher Bahadur. Sher Bahadur had brought the woman to Nepalgunj as part of Shanta's plan. Sher Bahadur taught him to answer the question of 'going to Rupaidiha Bazaar' at the checkpoint and then he got on a rickshaw and went ahead. This was revealed when the staff working at the border checkpoint of KI Nepal interrogated them for suspicion. Police are searching for the mastermind Shanti. KI Nepal, Nepalgunj Chief Radhika Giri said that the brokers involved in human trafficking have been selling women under the pretext of giving them a good job.
