A woman died and her husband sustained critical injuries when an unidentified group attacked them in their home at Kanakpur VDC of Rautahat in the wee hours of today. The group broke into the couples hours and attacked them in their bed at around 3 am today. A critically injured Sanad Khatun died while being rushed it hospital in Hetauda whereas her husband Shekh Sabir is receiving treatment at Chandranigahapur Hospital, informed SP Yagaya Binod Pokhrel of District Police Office, Rautahat. Locals said they had chased away thieves three times yesterday night, but the couples didn't come out of their house even once. Upon inquiring, the locals found the couple lying unconscious and buried in blood in their room. Though the locals called an ambulance to rush the couple to a health facility, one of them did not survive. Sabir is out of danger now, said SP Pokharel. As per preliminary investigation of Nepal Police, the unidentified group might have broken into the house in a robbery bid. रौतहटको कनकपुर-२ की एक महिलाको धारिलो हतियार प्रहार गरी हत्या भएको छ । २५ वर्षीया सहनाज खातुनको धारिलो हतियार प्रहारबाट आइतबार मृत्यु भएको हो । उनी शेख खजुरकी श्रीमती हुन् । सहनाजलाई अज्ञात समूहले सुतिरहेकै स्थानमा टाउकोमा धारिलो हतियार प्रहार गरी गम्भिर घाइते बनाएको र चुरेहिल अस्पताल मकवानपुर उपचारको क्रममा आइतबार मृत्यु भएको रौतहट प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । सोही स्थान बस्ने नसरुदिनको घरमा चोर आएको भन्ने हल्ला-खल्ला भएपछि सहनाजका श्रीमान शेख खजुर बाहिर निस्किएका थिए । तर चोर फेला नपरेपछि उनी आफ्नो घरभित्र पस्ने क्रममा ढोकाको छेउँमा लुकीछिपी बसेको अपरिचित एक जना व्यक्तिले शेखको टाउकोमा धारिलो हतियार प्रहार गरेको थियो । उनी मध्यम घाइते बनाएको र निजको श्रीमती सहनाज खातुनलाई सुतिरहेको स्थानमा टाउकोमा धारिलो हतियार प्रहार गरेको प्रहरीको भनाइ छ । घटनाको अनुसन्धान भइरहेको र फरार अभियुक्तको खोजी भइरहेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ ।
