The police have fired blank shots during the clash with Madhesi Front cadres in Gunana, Banke on Tuesday. The police first fired tear gas shells and then two rounds of blank shots after the Madhesi Front cadres pelted stones at the police, according to Chief of Banke Police SP Birendra Basyal. He revealed that no one was injured in the incident and two persons were arrested. The clash happened 15 kilometers away from the spot where CPN-UML is organizing a program as part of its Mechi-Mahakali Campaign.
