Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) on Tuesday staged a sit-in before the Banke District Election Office in Nepalgunj as a part of it's nationwide non-cooperation movement against the government. SLMM had earlier decided to stage sit-in before election offices in all districts throughout the nation for 2 hours on Tuesday. Speaking at the sit-in in Banke district coordinator of SLMM Bijay Kumar Gupta asserted that it was not possible to hold local level elections without passing the constitution amendment proposal. संयुक्त मधेसी मोर्चाले मंगलबार नेपालगन्ज स्थित क्षेत्रीय निर्वाचन कार्यालय घेराउ गरेको छ । राष्ट्रिय कार्यक्रम अनुसार क्षेत्रीय निर्वाचन कार्यालय घेराउ गरिएको मोर्चाले जनाएको छ । स्थानीय निर्वाचनको विरोधमा प्रत्येक जिलाका निर्वाचन कार्यालय घेराउ गर्ने कार्यक्रम अन्तर्गत मंगलबार निर्वाचन कार्यालयमा मोर्चाका कार्यकर्ताले २ घण्टा धर्ना दिएका छन् । धर्ना कार्यक्रममा बोल्दै संयुक्त मधेसी मोर्चा बाँकेका संयोजक विजय कुमार गुप्ताले संबिधान संसोधन नहुँदासम्म स्थानीय तहको निर्वाचन हुनै नसक्ने बताए ।
