A socket bomb was found at the house of Ramchandra Joshi, the candidate running for the post of chief of Kushma Municipality in the upcoming local level election.
The bomb was traced in the ground floor of Nepali Congress's local leader Joshi, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shekhar Khanal.
The disposal team of the Nepal Army's Ranadal battalion defused the explosive, DSP Khanal said.

Police have arrested four people including on journalist Gopal GC on May 4 on charge of planting socket bomb in the house of mayor candidate Ram Chandra Joshi of congress from Kushma Municipality.
The arrestees were district incharge Om Bahadur Pun “Himal” from Nepal Communist Party, District secretary Albert, Distrcit advisor Om Prasad Pant and District member Yagya Gautam.
The family of victims had informed police after finding suspicious material in the office inside the house of Joshi at Kushma Municipality-9 in Loktantrik Chok.
According to DSP Shekhar Khanal of District Police Office, the suspicious material was found to be a socket bomb and was disposed by the team of Nepal Army.
