Ramesh Khatri, Ward Secretary candidate of CPN UML was beaten up in Arjundhara municipality-7 of Jhapa district. He was beaten up by Bhola Poudel, former UML cadre and teacher of Arjundhara Secondary School. Action was taken against Poudel for conducting activities against party's interest, beforehand. According to UML, Khatri was beaten up by Poudel when the former reached to later's home for canvassing. Other ward member candidate, Kamal Niraula was also manhandled in the very incident. After the incident, Poudel was held by Sanischare Police Station. While the dispute was resolved in the meeting attended by UML District Committee Member-Bhola Pariyar, Area Secretary-Punya Subedi, Municipal Chairperson Prem Sagar Sapkota. As per one of the attendees of the meeting, Poudel was regranted with the roles in Party and preparation was made to start election campaign from Poudel's house itself. झापाको अर्जुनधारा नगरपालिका वडा नंं. ७ मा नेकपा एमालेबाट वडाध्यक्षका उम्मेदवार बनेका रमेश त्रिखत्रीमाथि कुटपिट भएको छ । उनलाई पूर्वएमाले कार्यकर्ता एवम् स्थानीय अर्जुनधारा माविका शिक्षक भोला पौडेलले कुटपिट गरेका हुन् । पार्टी हित विपरित कार्य गरेको भन्दै उनलाई कारबाही गरिएको थियो । शनिबार भोट माग्न पौडेलको घरमा जाँदा त्रिखत्रीमाथि कुटपिट भएको एमालेले जनाएको छ । साथै, वडा सदस्यका उम्मेदवार कमल निरौलामाथि पनि दुव्र्यवहार गरिएको एमाले कार्यकर्ताले जनाएका छन् । कुटपिटपछि प्रहरी चौकी शनिश्चरेले पौडेललाई नियन्त्रणमा लिएको थियो । लगत्तै एमालेका जिल्ला कमिटी सदस्य भोला परियार, क्षेत्रीय सचिव पुण्य सुवेदी, नगर अध्यक्ष प्रेमसागर सापकोटासहितको छलफलले समझदारीमा यो विवाद सामधान गरिएको छ । छलफलमा सहभागी एक नेताका अनुसार पौडेललाई पार्टीमा पूर्ववत् जिम्मेवारीमा फर्काइएको छ भने आइतबार उनकै घरमा निर्वाचन प्रचारप्रसार सुरु गर्ने तयारी गरिएको छ ।
