A bomb disposal squad of the Nepal Army (NA) has defused a powerful pressure cooker bomb planted near the office of Armed Police Force (APF) in Saptari along the Rajbiraj-Kunauli road section on Tuesday morning. The pressure cooker bomb which was prepared using RDX by the cadres of Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal was recovered from a field near the APF office. Police started searching for the bomb after they arrested two cadres of Chand-led Communist party of Nepal with a remote control from Nahar Chok. Based on the duo’s information, a bomb disposal team of the Nepal Army searched the IED and defused it. SP Mukesh Kumar Singh of the District Police Office, Saptari, said that the bomb could be exploded from one km distance with the help of remote. राजविराज कुनौली सडकखण्डमा रहेको सशस्त्र प्रहरीको सीमा सुरक्षा कार्यालय नजिकै राखिएको शक्तिशाली प्रेसरकुकर बम नेपाली सेनाको टोली बिहान निष्क्रिय पारेको छ। मध्यरात विप्लव समुहका कार्यकर्ताले पाँच लिटरको कुकरमा आरडिएक्स प्रयोग गरेर रिमोटबाट पड्काउन मिल्ने गरी बनाइएको बम सशस्त्रको कार्यालय नजिकैको खेतमा लुकाइराखेको अवस्थामा बरामद गरेको हो। प्रहरीले गोप्य सूचनाको आधारमा नहर चोकबाट दुईजना विप्लव समूहका कार्यकर्तालाई नियन्त्रणमा लिँदा उनीहरुको साथबाट रिमोट कन्ट्रोल पनि बरामद भएपछि बमको खोजी गरिएको थियो। पक्राउ परेकाहरुबाट बम राखिएको स्थानका बारे सूचना लिएपछि नेपाली सेनासहितको टोलीले बम खोजी निष्क्रिय पारेको हो। सप्तरीका एसपी मुकेशकुमार सिंहका अनुसार आरडिएक्स प्रयोग गरी बनाइएको उक्त बम रिमोटको साहयतामा एक किलोमिटर टाडाबाट विस्फोट गराउन सकिन्थ्यो । 'विस्फोट भएको भए ठूलो क्षति हुने निश्तित थियो,' उनले भने । उनको अनुसार प्रहरीले पक्राउ परेकाहरुसँग सोधपुछ गरी अन्यको पनि खोजि गरिरहेको छ ।
