Nemilal Thakur, 32, of Balchanpur of Chandrapur Municipality-10, collapsed when Asfak Alam of Gujara Municipality-4 hit him while the former was disturbing locals under the influence of alcohol yesterday night. Thakur died on the way to Chandrapur Hospital. Following the incident, the kin of the deceased hit the street in protest along the Gaur-Chandranigahapur road from early morning today. Police fired tear gas and shots in the open to clear the road. Meanwhile, a clash erupted due to the confrontation between the victory rallies of Nepali Congress’ Mohammad Aftab Alam from Rautahat Constituency No 2 and Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal’s provincial poll candidate Ram Kishor Yadav at Rajpur. Police took the situation under control by firing in the air. चन्द्रपुर नगरपालिका–१० बलुवा टोल बस्ने ३० वर्षीय नेमी ठाकुरलाई कुटपिट गर्दा मृत्यु भएको घटनाको अनुसन्धानको लागि गुजरा नगरपालिका–४ कनकपुर बस्ने २० वर्षीय अस्ताफ आलमलाई आइतबार प्रहरीले पक्राउ गरेको छ । सोही नगरपालिका–१० गौर–चपुर सडकको बालचनपुर चोकमा शनिबार वेहोस अवस्थामा फेला परेका ठाकुरको उपचारको लागि स्थानीय मेडिकलमा लैजाने क्रममा मृत्यु भएको थियो । उनलाई आलमले कुटपिट गरेको भन्दै पक्राउ गर्नुपर्ने माग राखी बालचनपुर चोकमा स्थानीयबासीले बाटो अवरोध गरेपछि आलमलाई प्रहरीले नियन्त्रणमा लिएको छ । बाटो अवरोधको क्रममा ढुगांमुडा गर्ने बालचनपुर बस्ने ३२ वर्षीय तपेश्वर साह समेत २ जनालाई प्रहरीले नियन्त्रणमा लिएको छ । भिड तितरबितर गर्ने क्रममा प्रहरी हवल्दार २, प्रहरी जवान २ र प्रदर्शनकारीतर्फ २ जना सामान्य घाइते भएकोले उपचारको लागि चपुर प्रालि अस्पताल लगिएको छ । प्रहरीले भिड तितरबितर गरी बाटो सुचारु गरेको छ । यस सम्बन्धमा प्रहरीबाट आवश्यक अनुसन्धान भइरहेको छ ।
