The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested a senior non-gazette official of the Bhaktapur Land Revenue Office red-handed with bribe on Thursday. According to the anti-graft body, Land Revenue Office registration department officer Dev Raj Kafle was caught red-handed while he was receiving Rs 100,000 kickback from a service seeker. The CIAA team held him with the bribe money from the underground of the Land Revenue Office. He is learnt to have received the bribe money after transferring the ownership of land based in Surya Binayak Municipality-1, Bhaktapur. He has been detained for further investigation.
