Area police office (APO) Birtamod has arrested a cadre of Bhagat Singh led Tarai Janatantrik Madhesi Mukti Morcha (TJMMM) from his rented room in Damak Municipality-10 on January 6.

Sanjiv Singh, 23, was arrested from Damak bazaar. Inspector Milan Bhattarai of APO Birtamod said that one home-made pistol, one bullet and 10 sim cards of mobile phones were recovered from Singh. Police informed that Singh, a permanent resident of Gajaniya, Inida was working as bodyguard of TJMMM Jhapa chairperson Shiva Kumar Sah.

Police had arrested three cadres of TJMMM with explosives a week ago from Damak. Action has been initiated against them while TJMMM Jhapa chief Sah is absconding.
