Police on Wednesday arrested a woman from Sindhupalchowk on human trafficking charge. The arrested has been identified as Rupa Giri, a resident of Chautara Sangachokgadhi-11. Giri was arrested after family members of an 18-year-old girl lodged a complaint against her at District Police Office on July 6 accusing her of taking the girl to Kavre from Dolalghat with intention of trafficking her. According to inspector Hari Krishna KC, Giri, however claimed that, she had afforded refuge to the girl who had gone to commit suicide after facing severe domestic violence at her home. Police are futher investigating on the incident. १८ वर्षीया युवतीलाई बेचबिखन गरेको आरोपमा प्रहरीले चौतारा साँगाचोकगढी नपा-११ की रुपा गिरीलाई असार २७ गते बेलुका गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । पीडित पक्षले असार २२ गते जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयमा उजुरी दिएको थियो । पीडित युवतीलाई आरोपितले असार २१ गते विक्री गर्ने उद्देश्यले दोलालघाटबाट काभ्रे लगेको भन्ने पीडितपक्षको भनाई छ । घरमा हिंसा भएपछि आत्महत्या गर्न भनी दोलालघाट पुगेकी ती युवतीलाई आफूले संरक्षण गरेर राखेको आरेपित गिरीले बताइन् । घटनाबारे अनुसन्धान भइरहेको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका इन्स्पेक्टर हरीकृष्ण केसी ले बताए ।
