Police have arrested a man in Baglung District for allegedly beating his spouse to death. Deu Prasad Chhantyal, 66, of Tarakhola rural municipality-2 in Baglung has been charged with hitting his wife with a wooden club to death on alcoholic stupor. Tulamaya Chhantyal, 70, died in the incident that happened Friday. She was attacked by her husband following a minor dispute between the two. Severely injured in the beating, she died amidst treatment at the Galkot Primary Health Center, Harichaur, District Police Office, Baglung said. ताराखोला गाउँपालिका–२ की ७० वर्षीया तुलमाया छन्त्याललाई सामान्य घरायासी विवादको क्रममा मादक पदार्थ सेवन गरेका ६६ वर्षीय पति देउप्रसाद छन्त्यालले लठ्ठी प्रहार गरी हत्या गरेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । असोज ५ गते साँझ मादक पदार्थ सेवन गरेर आएका देउप्रसादले तुलमायाको टाउकामा लौरो प्रहार गरेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । उनको कुटाइबाट घाइते भएकी तुलमायालाई प्रथामिक स्वास्थ्य केन्द्र हरिचौरमा ल्याइएको भएपनि उपचारको क्रममा मृत्यु भएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका इन्स्पेक्टर गोपिन्द्रबहादुर खड्काले जानकारी दिए । आरोपितलाई असोज ५ गते नै प्रहरीले प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केन्द्रबाट नियन्त्रणमा लिएको छ । शवको पोष्टमार्टम गर्ने प्रक्रियामा रहेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ ।
