The principal of Ratna Rajya Laxmi primary school in Gorkha district has been assaulted by the family members on 20th January inside the school premises.

Principal Sarala Devkota has accused parents saying that she was dragged out of her room forcefully after she refused to resign from her position after the school committee members announced a new principal Tejbahadur Nepali from the same school on 23rd of January. Sarala said that the complaint has been lodged at the municipality against the school committee members of taking a single decision to appoint a new principal.  previously she was also given the threat to resign from the post.
