Mother of 25-year-old Lalitadevi Sah of Dakneshwori-3 Tarahi on January 27 accused Lalitadevi's husband 35-year-old Sankar Sah, brother-in-law 32-year-old Raj Kumar Sah, and father-in-law Ramdev Sah of hanging her dead body from a tree after killing her.
The deceased's mother made the allegation in the presence of media persons and human rights activists at Gajendranarayn Singh Sagarmatha hospital in Rajbiraj where the postmortem of the deceased is being done.
According to police Lalitadevi was found dead hanging from a mango tree around 1 kilometer away from her home on Sunday. Inspector Bishnu Pradip Bashyal of Area Police Office Kalyanpur said that police suspect foul play behind the death of Lalitadevi as her family members were on the run. He further stated that police would further investigate into the incident after looking at the postmortem report of the victim.
