A woman was murdered in Mudabhar, Rapti Municipality-6 of Chitwan district on Monday night.
Chitwan District Police Office identified the deceased as 52-year-old Rupa Thapa.
The municipality mayor Prabha Baral said that Thapa was brutally speared to death at her home previous night and claimed that she was speared to death.
However, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Durga Raj Regmi at the DPO said that it was yet to gather evidence and further details of the incident.
Meanwhile, a team of security personnel along with sniffer dog has reached the incident site.
It has been learned that the deceased woman’s husband has been on a tour in a foreign country, one of the sons studying abroad and another on business trip to another city.
It has also been reported that the household helper boy had been sleeping in the shed that night.
