Police on Thursday morning arrested 22-year-old Salmodin Miya of Duhabi Bhaluwa municipality-1 on the charge of attempting to rape an 11-year-old minor girl from ward-9 of the same municipality.

Miya, a local city safari driver allegedly lured the minor girl to come with him and tried to rape her by taking her to a sugarcane field in Ekrai of Biratnagar metropolitan city-4. Police deployed from Bargachhi Police post caught him in possession of the city-safari bearing plate number Ko 2 Ha 2011 after locals informed the police about the incident. Police are further investigating on the incident.
