A demonstration was organized in Janakpur on Thursday demanding a death sentence of a murderer. A 9-year-old girl, Reshma Rasaili, from Mithila Municipality-3, Hariharpur was raped, murdered and burnt. Reshma was studying in grade 2.  

School students, women, rights activists demanded the victims' families be compensated, and high-level investigations into the incident, strict action be taken against the culprits, and that other offenders be arrested immediately.
