A person has been arrested on rape charge in Jhapa. Police arrested Bhim Gurung, 20yrs, a resident of Magarmavi in Kachankawal municipality-2 of Jhapa on the charge of rape said DSP Mahendra Kumar Shrestha of DPO Jhapa.

Police arrested Gurung on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim's mother at Area Police Office Baniyani. She accused that Gurung raped her daughter on Saturday night by taking her to a tea farm while she had gone to a neighbour wedding ceremony. Police are further investigating on the incident by holding the accused into custody.
