Police arrested 68-year-old Bal Bahadur Sunar of Kaski on the charge of the murder of 30-year-old Hari Bahadur Pandey of Lamjung in Butwal. Pandey's body was found in the evening of March 15 on the bank of Tinau river.
Sunar and Pandey had a discussion regarding five thousand rupees while staying in jail. According to the police, Sunar had devised a plan to kill Pandey when he got out of jail. Earlier, Sunar had asked Pandey to come to Butwal with four lakh rupees to make a deal on Yarshagumbha trade. When in Butuwal, Sunar met Pandey in private, killed him by hitting him with stones and looted the money.
