A complaint against 25 years old husband Mantu Das of Hanuman Nagar Kankalini Municipality-3 is lodged at District Police Office on April 3 by his wife Puja Devi Das, 22 on charge of beating her in dowry dispute.
The victim was tortured by the accused demanding for motorbike and LCD TV as a dowry. She was expelled by the accused after she was unable to provide dowry.
The victim sustained eyes and facial injuries and receiving treatment at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital.
They were married as per Hindu tradition in 2018 and after she was expelled, she is displaced in her parental home in Bishnupur Rural Municipality-1, Jamuni Madhepura.
The District Police Office said that the application has been sent to Area Police Office , Bhardaha for necessary action.
