Police arrested 23-year-old Sunil Sunar of Devdaha municipality-5 on May 3, on the charge of raping a 50-year-old woman with mental disability.

Police arrested Sunar on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim's 12-year-old son at Area Police Office Butwal with the help of his neighbors. In the complaint, the victim's son stated that Sunar raped his mother in the evening of May 2, when she was alone at home.

The victim underwent a medical examination at Lumbini Regional Hospital in Butwal on May 3.
