Local women of Dhanusha have protested and pelted stones in Area Police Office of Mahendranagar on May 5 demanding the action against the rape accused. The victim’s family of 14 years old girl had lodged complaint at Area Police Office of Mahendranagar on April 29 demanding the action against the Raj Kumar Shah of Chireshwor Municipality-5 accusing him of rape. Police said that the accused has been arrested for investigation.
The protester had pelted stones and smashed the windows of the police office and chanted the slogan demanding the action against the accused. Police intervened the protesters to control the situation and clash started between them.
Inspector Amir Dahal said that the protesters were demanding for the death penalty to the accused which is against the law. Police had even used baton to clear the road.
