Police have arrested 23 years old Sunil Sunar of Dev Daha Municipality-5 on May 3 on charge of raping 50 years old verbally impaired woman.

The accused had raped the woman on the night of May 2 while no one was in her house. A complaint against him was lodged at Area Police of Butwal in assistance with the victim’s 12 years old son.

DSP Dil Bahadur Malla of Area Police Office of Butwal said that the accused is arrested based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s family.

The victim underwent health checkup at Lumbini Provincial Hospital on May 3 according to police.
