Police arrested 35-year-old Phiroj Oli of Birgunj metropolitan-32, on May 5, on charge of raping a 40-year-old woman with physical disability. Police also arrested 31-year-old Tafaju Dewan on the same day for involvement in the incident.

According to Inspector Saroj Rai, the victim's party filed a complaint at Dhalkebar Area Police Office on May 5 stating that the accused raped the woman on May 4. 

 Inspector Rai informed that the victim's medical examination was done at Janakpur Zonal Hospital on May 5.
