More than 40 ward members and 8 ward chairpersons of the Nepali Congress boycotted the third Municipal Assembly of Sub-metropolis on Monday which is held to approve the current financial records and the plan and policies of the upcoming fiscal year. 

They have expressed reservations about adding the new staff on contract for next year and have accused of providing falsified information on the financial sheet. 

By boycotting the meeting, they assembled in Dharmashala and protested against the municipal head.
