Woman banished from home with infant daughter for inadequate dowry

Chandan Kumar Das of Biratnagar-14 along with his mother, Sarita Devi, assaulted Jimi Kumari and banished her from the house. Jimi Kumari who was forced to leave the house with her infant daughter is currently staying at her parents' house.
Das banished his wife for not bringing a car as dowry. Das married 23-year-old Jimi Kumari of Bihar on March 2, 2017. He had asked for a car as dowry a month after the wedding.
