24-year-old Rabindra Kumar Yadav of Haripur-7, Sunsari attacked his 20-year-old, wife Rukmani Yadav with a sickle for not bringing an adequate dowry.

Rabindra had demanded a motorbike during their wedding and he often tortured her physically to pressure her to demand motorbike from her parents. 

Rukmani sustained serious injuries in different parts of her body after being attacked with sickle by her husband. Her parents lodged a complaint against Rabindra at Haripur police post 5 days after the incident demanding severe action against him.
