DHANGADHI: Police said four school teachers have been arrested for their alleged involvement in beating a 13-year-old student to death in Kanchanpur on Wednesday.
Madhav Kalauni of Majgaun in Bhimdutta Municipality-17 succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Rammurti Hospital in India yesterday.
Subsequently, District Police Office, Kanchanpur rounded up Mahakali Bal School Principal Yasodha Joshi, teachers — Durga Dutta Pathak, Laxman Bhatta and Harka Jagri — for an investigation into the case.
After the incident, Madhav was rushed to Sub-Regional Hospital in Dadeldhura and few other health facilities before being taken to India for treatment three days ago, police said.
Brishpati Kalauni, victim’s father said, his son was brutally beaten by school teachers accusing him of his involvement in an altercation outside the school premises, on June 28.
Madhav was a ninth-grader at Mahakali Bal School in the district.
