A ward chairperson has been accused of beating another ward chairperson in Champadevi rural municipality of Okhaldhunga.
A complaint was lodged at the police against Ajay Luited, ward chairperson of ward 8 in Champadevi rural municipality on the charge of physically assaulting Suresh Thapa, the ward chairperson of ward 7 of the same municipality. Thapa filed a complaint against Luitel on July 17 at District Police Office Okhaldhunga saying that intoxicated Luitel assaulted him on July 15.
Locals submitted an audio recording in which Luitel can be heard threatening Thapa and chief administrative officer Tulsiram Bhagat and Subba Ishwor Dhungana to the police. Thapa sustained minor injury in the attack from Luitel. Police are looking for him.
