On October 28, police arrested three people in connection with an armed attack during a dispute related to a public land. There was a dispute between two groups regarding barricading around a tomb of the Muslim community of Susta Rural Municipality-2, Kudai, Nawalparasi. Five people were injured in the dispute in which domestic weapons were used for an attack. The dispute started regarding the issues of cutting down the tree by local 34-year-old Abbas Ansari to obstruct the barricading. Locals have accused Abbas of illegally capturing land belonging to the tomb. Police arrested Abbas, 37-year-old Anuhar Ali, and 25-year-old Nisad Ahamad for attack with a sharp weapon.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Bhairahawa Universal Medical College.
