Police have arrested two Indian nationals on the charge of attempting to kidnap an 8-year-old girl in Hanumannagar Kankalini-9 of Saptari.
The arrested have been identified as 22-year-old Amir Jha of Supaul Bairiyaghat in Bihar State of India and 20-year-old Ananda Goswami. The arrested duo tried to kidnap the girl on a bicycle while other members of her family were occupied informed inspector Kamal Kumar Lungeli of Area Police Office Hanumannagar.
Locals who saw the girl travelling with the two arrested men inquired her about them and informed her uncle after finding that they were kidnapping her. The locals also beat the two. Police have started further investigation in to the incident by taking the two into custody, informed DSP Tilak Bharati of District Police Office Saptari.
