Police have arrested 20 students leaders of outlawed Nepal Communist Party (NCP) associated with Biplov during their protest in Maitighar on Sunday against Indian move to include Kalapani, Lipulek, and Limpiyadhura in its political map.
According to SSP Uttamraj Subedi, Biplov youth leaders entered the scene in midst of the protest, in which the school students were brought for the protest initially. The arrested leaders have been kept at Municipal Police Unit, Singhadurbar and at Nepal Police Club, Bhrikutimandap.
This is the first instance the Biplov cadres appeared in the public program after the party was banned on March 12, 2018.
