Nimesh Basnet, the headteacher of Aarpan School, in Biratnagar Municipality-4 beat a 14-year-old student up with a pipe for being irregular at the school and for failing the second terminal examination.
The girl has sustained injuries under her waist. The girl had not informed of the beating to her family members but the incident came to light after she was unable to sleep because of the pain form beating. The headteacher conceded beating the girl in anger to frighten her as she was irregular in the school.
The relatives of the girl filed a complaint at District Police Office Morang demanding action against the guilty teacher. The injured girl underwent a medical examination and treatment at Koshi Hospital.
