Police arrested a 40-year-old man on December 14 from Nepal-India border in Madhuwan Municipality-6 on the charge of raping his 18-year-old daughter.
The victim's party has accused the father of taking his daughter to Bangalore and raping her for a month threatening her.
According to the victim, the father raped her again when they got back to Nepal on December 10. They stayed at a hotel in Nepalgunj bazar in Banke saying that it would bring bad luck to go home on a Tuesday.
The police team led by Inspector Laxman Oli of District Police Office Bardiya arrested the accused.
The victim's medical examination was done at District Hospital Bardiya on December 12.
