Shree Prasad Panchiyar murdered his 38-year-old sister-in-law Rani Devi Panchiyar in Mithila Municipality-3, on December 25 by striking her with a khukuri over a domestic dispute. Rani died while being taken to Regional Hospital in Biratnagar, said SP Ram Kumar Yadav. 

Police are searching for absconding Panchiyar.  Panchiyar's husband is abroad for foreign employment. The reason for the attack has not been identified, the Police said.
