Abandoned Bombs Found

Bajura,bewarise bomb fela. Six socket bombs have been found inside a cave in Juku village. According to a local teacher Lokendra Bhatta, students Tikaram Neupane (7), Unnat Neupane (6), Pushkar Neupane and Sahadev Neupane and Dhruba Neupane found the bomb in Jukot VDC-7. The students of Shambhu Summit Boarding School had gone to the site on Saturday to play. They had informed their parents after one of the bombs which they had thrown unknowingly went off. The locals had informed police about finding of the abandoned explosive devices. Police team from Kunna Police Post reached the site, which is 2-days walk from the district headquarters, on December 22, Inspector Hikmat Bahadur Bohara of the District Police Office said. He said that the explosive devices are socket bombs. According to police, Nepal Army bomb disposal team from Devibaux Battalion in Martadi has left for Jukot VDC to deactivate the bombs. The locals suspected that the Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) might have been hidden by the then CPN-M during the conflict period.
