District Police Office has arrested a 15-year-old victim’s father (55), of Parbat’s Bihadi Rural Municipality accusing him of sexual abuse of her daughter.

The relatives of the victim had verbally informed the police on 21 January about the incident which took place on 17 January after which he was arrested from his own residence.

The victim’s health checkup was conducted on 21 January at the Parbat District Hospital, informed Inspector Bikash Thapa. After the recommendation of INSEC’s District Representative Santosh Thapa, the victim is kept at one of Pokhara’s Protection Home and her father is under custody.

District Court of Parbat has registered a case with prosecution against him under Child Sexual Abuse on 22 January, informed Inspector Thapa.
