Police on March 24 arrested 36-year-old Shivaram Khanga aka Lattu of Tirahut Rural Municipality-1 on the charge of sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl. Police arrested Lattu after the victim's mother filed a complaint against him at Area Police Office Kanchanrup on March 18 accusing him of sexually abusing the girl on March 16. The minor victim also sustained an injury on her eye while resisting Lattu's heinous act. Police have started further investigation into the incident by arresting the accused.
