Rani Yadav has accused Shree Krishna Yadav, the father-in-law, of sexual assault for the past five years. She confessed this through a Facebook post of eight pages long handwritten document with her signature on it. Shree Krishna Yadav, however, has denied the accusation and claims that Rani staged the scenario to elope with an ex-General Manager(GM) of the hotel, whom Shree Krishna Yadav had fired sometimes back. There is contention in the Yadav family over the ownership of the hotel. Some in the Yadav family conjecture that the accusation of sexual assault has to do with the ownership of the hotel. 

Shree Krishna Yadav is the ex-member of the National Planning Commission, the Public Service Commission, and the Education Service Commission. He is the husband of Chitra Lekha Yadav, the Nepali Congress leader and the ex-Speaker of the Parliament.
