Landlord evict kidney patient from rented house in Kathmandu

62-year-old Kara Bahadur Tamang of Ramechap who is kidney patient has been evicted from a rented house of Sudal, Bhaktapur citing fear of contracting coronavirus from him.

According to the kidney patient wife's Sunnmaya, they leave the rented house early in the morning after the landlord continuously forces them to leave the room.

The landlord is abusing and evicting kidney patients for transmitting the coronavirus infection, said Balram Subedi, central president of the Kidney Association.

Tamang who is a kidney patient requires to undergo dialysis two times a week and does not have any relatives in Kathmandu. So, they decided to go home by walking as they don't have money to pay for the ambulance charge.
