Woman Killed by 'Relatives in Property Dispute'

Saptari/March 16 Janatantrik Tarai Madesh Mukti Tigers’ district member and CA candidate for PR system, Nirmala Sah, 39, of Trikol VDC-5 has been murdered on March 15 night. Inspector Deepak Karki of Area Police Office, Kanchanpur said the broken pieces of glass bangles and signs of struggle on the site indicated Sah’s death as a murder. JTMMT’s central secretary Anil Jha claimed that deep abdomen wound inflicted by sharp weapon, broken neck and chest and hand injuries proved that she was murdered. The postmortem of the body was conducted at Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital in Rajbiraj on March 16. Single Women Group, Saptari’s Anita Devkota informed that Sah, herself a member of the group, had repeatedly feared for her life and filed appeals at Police and District Administration Office asking for security. Devkota recalled Sah’s statement that she had married off her three daughters at young age and kept her son out of the village because she had fear for her life. A property case is under consideration at District Court since April 2013 and the defendants in her case are her husband’s brothers Bindeshwar, 60, Kapaleshwar, 50, and their wives, Mohari, 55, and Rita Devi, 45, Bindeshwar’s sons Dhruba, 35, Ashok, 29, Kapaleshwar’s son, Pramod Sah, 24. Police arrested Bindeshwar Sah, and his son Dhurba Sah on March 16. The husband of the deceased died on May 2013 under mysterious circumstances. Manohar Kumar P
