Saptari,bandisahit jawaf pesh garna aadesh. A writ of habeas corpus has been filed against the Area Police Office Kanchanpur and Chief District Officer at the Appellate Court Rajbiraj. Aunt of a 16-year-old boy and Ganga BK, 24, of Phattepur VDC-3 filed the writ demanding their release stating that the APO Kanchanpur had been holding them in illegal detention after repeatedly extending their remand from the CDO's office for no offense. Responding to the writ, Judge Bal Krishna Upreti has asked the District Administration Office and APO on March 30 to provide a written reply with evidences within 24 hours. Some plainclothes policemen had arrested them on March 16 and kept them in detention after filing a case of some public offense. Inspector Dipak Karki of the APO said that the duo was charged with the crime as they had mistreated police officials.
