NSU padlocks offices of TU officials

Nepal Student Union(NSU) padlocked the offices of the Vice-Chancellor, Rector, and Registrar of Tribhuvan University(TU) on July 19. According to Hari Acharya, chairman of the TU Committee of NSU, the vice-chancellor discriminated over the distribution of appointments, did not listen, and hold any discussion in regard to the demands made by NSU.
The Democratic Professors Association, Nepal also staged a demonstration on July 19 at TU premises saying that the 33-point demand submitted to vice-chancellor was ignored.
